Contrac’s “High Heat? No Sweat.” Hits Home at PestWorld East in Dubai

 Posted: 06/05/2012

Displaying Products at Pest World EastMore than 150 pest control professionals from around the region met in Dubai on April 23-24 for the second annual PestWorld East conference, sponsored by the National Pest Management Association in conjunction with Ecovar.

While the conference focused on bed bugs and a host of other nuisance pests, participants seemed equally interested in rodent control, as attested by the many visitors to Bell's booth.

Bell representatives greeted visitors from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, India, Qatar, Oman, and other countries where temperatures soar in the summer, obviously drawn to the booth's pop-up display message, "High Heat? No Sweat."

The display refers to comparative melting tests conducted on Bell's Contrac BLOX versus a competitor block in which Contrac held its shape at temperatures as high as 70 degrees C while the competition melted at 60 degrees C.

"Not surprisingly, we had a lot of interest in the Contrac BLOX melting tests, though there was interest in all the products on our stand," said Bell technical representative, Julie McMonagle.

"In the U.A.E., pest control companies are putting more emphasis on the quality of pest control and our distributor there, National Pest Control, has really championed that by using our range of quality products in their service treatments," she added.

At the end of the day, regardless of heat, it must have been exhilarating for attendees to step outdoors and view the spectacular Burj Khalifa, at 828m (2,717 feet), the world's tallest structure.
